It's in the Tribble patch notes, so this likely goes live on Thursday. If not this week, then almost certainly next.
The meat of it seems to be, from what I'm gathering, that you can get a small % discount on the amount of Dil needed for other projects by leveling up the mine. It will have the same Tier structure as the Embassy. A fully maxed out mine would give a 9% Dil reduction to everything else in the fleet projects, I think. It will also have stores for special Engineering armor and turn consoles, Fleet Warp and Singularity cores, new "miner" duty officers (I'm curious to see those), and a power up that lowers the call time for the trade freighter in space (pretty irrelevant, social hubs are everywhere). There will also be some sort of special fleet mining/fleet refining assignments.
Overall, I'm thumbs in the middle until I see more with my own eyes. The overall discount is going to help new fleets much more than existing ones.
Curious about the fleet mining/refining option. Is this an increase in the daily cap? I'm not that bothered by it myself. Part of the reason I run multiple characters for DOFFing is that it, essentially, makes the 8K a day refining cap irrelevant, but I can see it being a very good thing for a lot of players. Or will it be something that contributes directly to fleet projects on it's own? Not sure yet.
New toys in the stores as expected. Smart of them to stick the warp cores in there I guess, since they look like a really hot item these days.
Going to be another big giant grind of course, which is the bad. If the total discount with a maxed out mine is really 9%, then I'm 99.9999% sure this actually ends up costing more Dil than before when you factor in what the costs will be to upgrade the mine. One of those "we raised the price 33% then gave everyone 25% off" sales that big chain stores love.
I haven't heard yet where this actually *is* on the map. I'm assuming they will just add this at the mining asteroid not far off DS9 anyway. But it may be in a totally separate location. DS9 would suit me fine because I usually hang around there anyway for DOFFing, so if the fleet mining assignment turns out to be worthwhile I could hit it up regularly without losing much time.
